Initially launched from the Georgia Tech ATDC as Spectralogic, a new building and move to Buckhead in 1994 formalized a new business to be renamed Ratio Design Lab. Ratio evolved into a global innovation partner, specializing in advanced technology solutions. The company's focus on concurrent product development with multi disciplinary teams led to breakthroughs, positioning it as a leader in portable computing solutions ahead of their time.

Relaunched in 2015 as Ratio Product Lab, our goal was to continue the Ratio legacy of great product innovation. Ratio serves a diverse clientele; ranging from Fortune 100 companies to regional manufacturers and first-time inventors. Ratio’s studio in Atlanta's Virginia-Highland neighborhood is equipped with a 24/7 3D printing farm where we offer agile services for industrial design from client collaboration to prototype and part production. Our expertise lies in transforming client ideas into manufacturable products, offering industrial design services such as concept design, CAD design, 3D modeling, part & assembly prototyping as well as contract administration services for manufacturing final product goods.
